Ranch Water

3oz Tequila
1.5oz Lime Juice
1 Bottle Topo Chico

Add tequila and lime juice to a glass with ice, top with Topo Chico, and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge. As you drink, continue to add Topo Chico.

Frozen Margarita

It's hot here on the Forbidden Patio, we're coping with these frozen Margaritas. Makes two servings.

4oz Tequila
4oz Lime Juice
2oz Cointreau
1oz Simple Syrup
2 Cups Ice
Pinch of Salt

Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into a festive glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

Long Island Iced Tea

.5oz Vodka
.5oz Gin
.5oz White Rum
.5oz Silver Tequila
.5oz Cointreau
.75oz Lemon Juice
2tsp Simple Syrup
.75oz Mexican Coke

Shake ingredients (except the Coke), then strain into a Highball or Collins glass over ice. Top with Coke and a lemon twist.

Next time I'd probably double everything, this is a Long Island Iced Tea after all, use a bit less lemon juice and garnish with a lemon wedge instead of a twist.

Highland Margarita

Aside from the Rusty Nail, there aren't a lot of uses for Drambuie. So if you've got a bottle sitting on your shelf, this margarita variation is worth a try. The Drambuie lends a light honey flavor and a smooth mouthfeel, which is quite nice.

2oz Tequila
.5oz Drambuie
.5oz Grand Mariner
1oz Lime Juice

Rim a glass with salt, using a lime wedge to wet the rim. Shake the ingredients over ice and pour into salted glass with fresh ice. Garnish with lime wedge.

Margarita

2oz Tequila
1oz Cointreau
1oz Lime Juice

Using a lime wedge, salt half the rim of an old fashioned glass. Shake ingredients over ice and double strain into glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

My favorite margarita tequila is Espolon Reposado.
